JJ & Family,
My heart still aches for you all. I have 5 children of my own and I cannot imagine your pain. I like so many others was in shock when I heard, wanted to write, but didn’t know what to say. Even though we have never met, we are your family. JJ, I have been listening to you for so long and have gone thru the births of all your children, the building of your house and so on. A week or so before this happend you were talking about fishing with your son in your pond and my immediate prayer was for the safety of your son around that pond. You and your family and everyone at AFR are always in our prayers. Love you and thank you for your faith in Christ. It really shines.

Your loss is so great, but God’s love and healing are greater. You have blessed so many people through the radio station. May those blessings be multiplied back to you many times over. We are praying for the comfort and peace that only God can provide.

Dear JJ and Melanie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Cooper. Nothing I can say will ease your pain, but I know a loving Heavenly Father who knows the pain you are going through because He too lost His son, just for us. He loves you very much and is with you through all that you are facing each day. My prayers are with you so much.

I just heard the last little bit about the flame on written on the hands of the palbearers and was so sad to miss the begining of the story but at the end i heard you say you hope we don`t get bored !!!Let me tell you I really turn you guys on now just to hear those!! i loved you two before but I live for ways and stories to share God as I am a hairdresser that got saved when i was 30 so I have many lost customers that need Jesus and i can tell them stories of others lives!!so share as you can and I am jsut sorry I can`t back it upa nd hear the whole story!! My daughter went from Dubuque iowa to TN for the same FLip conference your lauren was at~~it changed her worship!!praying for your family and sorry God is using your family in big ways for others!!

We are so very sorry to learn that you are separated from Cooper. The reunion will be glorious, but we know you are currently struggling with sorrow. We have been so blessed by your mother-in-law’s columns (Everyday Reflections by Kandi Anderson) in the SunHerald. Your loss and her inspired words have given us pause to reflect on what a wonderful privilege it is to enjoy the company of family and friends. We never know when God will call us home.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I was looking at my little note card on my desk and it says: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

I just know in my soul that he was pure in heart and that he is seeing God. May God give you all the comfort, strength and grace to go forward in life.

J. J., Melanie, and the girls,
I heard about Cooper yesterday. I had been away on a youth trip all last week and didn’t know til then. I immediately began praying for you. I have listened to you so much over the last few years. Actually saw you at an event one time. I have listened to your care and concern through encouragement through devotionals and through laughter. You’ve been there for us through the radio for years and it is my turn to encourage you. By no means can I ever begin to imagine what you are going through. Nothing I could say would even seem adequate. I thought about something I heard you day the other day. I heard you telling someone on the radio about a couple of weeks ago that Cooper thought you were going to bring back a saxophone from your trip and you were wondering why he thought it was like a Christmas present and not a souvenier that you would bring back. It made me start to think. I can imagine he is with the angels and maybe he is playing that saxophone along with their harps. Just knowing you and how you speak of your family, I know Cooper had such a wonderful life, even for such a short time. I will be continuing to pray for you all. May God hold on to you through this difficult time.

To you and all of your family. I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of your precious child. I can relate to you and your sorrow! I too have had the same road to travel. Please be reassured that our God of all hope is with you every step of the way!
So in traveling this path I am sending love and encouragement to surround you in the days ahead-I know you will in turn be an encouragement to many others! Hang on to those around you and the Lord will bless and sustain you.
